SANGHAR: The Pakistani rulers have abdicated themselves from their responsibility of solving common man’s problems. They are befooling people and paying lip service on Kashmir issue.
People are dying due to lack of treatment facilities and hunger, but the ruling classes are busy in clinging to power. The so-called drive against corruption and Moulana Fazlur Rehman’s ‘azadi march’ have nothing to do with the public issues.
These views were expressed by Hassan Askari, Secretary, Kissan Committee of the Awami Workers Party, Bakhshal Thallo, President, AWP Sindh, and Asar Imam, Vice-President AWP Sindh, general secretary Younus Rahu, Marvi Latifi, and others while addressing the AWP Sanghar District Congress last week.
The congress elected Bakhsh Mangrio as the district president, Qayyum Lander, general secretary; Mir Hassan as member National committee and other office-bearers.
They said contradictions between different segments of the ruling elite has deepened and manifested in different ways.
They said that the AWP has been striving to provide an alternative people-friendly politics in Pakistan.
The party’s programme aims at bringing fundamental change by organizing farmers, workers, students, women, and all other oppressed sections of society.
They said that Sanghar despite being rich in mineral and other natural resources as well as producing huge oil, gas and cotton is one of the backward districts of Sindh. It lacks basic facilities of life like healthcare, educational institutions, clean drinking water, and sanitation. The majority of the population is living under abject poverty.
“The district has no library, park and a playground. Prolonged load-shedding of power compounds the problems of the people,” they said.
The city has been turned into waste dumping site due to the apathy of the municipal department.
A number of resolutions were adopted during the congress including enforcement of land reforms act in the country, raising minimum wage of the labourers to Rs30,000

سانگھڑ : پاکستان کے حکمراں طبقہ آپس کے تضادات کو چھپانے کے لیے سیاسی بحران پیدا کر رہے ہیں ۔ انھہں عوام کے مسائل سے کوئی دلچسپی نہیں-
عوام بھوک، افلاس، بیماریوں اور علاج معالجہ کی سہولتیں نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے مررہیں ہیں، لیکن حکمران طبقات اقتدار کی رسہ کشی میں مصروف ہیں – کرپشن کے خلاف نام نہاد جہاد اور مولانا فضل الرحمان کی آزادی مارچ کا عوامی مسائل سے کوئی تعلق نہیں ہے-
ان خیالات کا اظہار عوامی ورکرز پارٹی کے مرکزی کسان سیکریٹری کامریڈ حسن عسکری، سندھ پارٹی کے صدر بخشل تھلو، نائب صدراثرامام ، جنرل سیکریٹری یونس راہو، خواتین سیکریٹری ماروی لطیفی، اور دیگر نے عوامی ورکرز پارٹی سانگھڑ کی ضلعی کانگریس سے خطاب کے دوران کیا۔
کانگریس کے مندوبین نے بخش منگریو کو ضلعی صدر ، قیوم لانڈرکو جنرل سیکریٹری، میر حسن کوممبر نیشنل کمیٹی اور دیگر عہدیداروں کا انتخاب عمل لایا گیا۔
انھوں نے کہا کہ عوامی ورکرز پارٹی پاکستان میں متبادل ترقی پسند ،عوام دوست سیاست کے لئے ایک کوشش ہے۔ پاکستان میں کسانوں ، محنت کشوں، طالب علموں، خواتین، اور معاشرے کے تمام دیگر مظلوم حصوں کو منظم کرکے عوام دوست سماجی تبدیلی کیلئے سنجیدہ پیشرفت کا نام عوامی ورکرز پارٹی ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ سانگھڑ ضلع سندھ میں تیل و گیس اور دیگر معدنیات کی پیداوار انتہائی بلندی پر ہے، کپاس کی پیداوار کے لحاظ سے بھی یہ ضلع بہت آگے ہے تاہم ضلع میں پسماندگی ، غربت، وافلاس بھی انتہائی عروج پر ہے،
سانگھڑ شہر میں نہ کوئی لائبریری ہے، نہ پبلک پارک، اور نہ کھیلوں کا میدان ہے۔
شہر بجلی کی غیر اعلانیہ لوڈ شیڈنگ کی وجہ سے اندھیروں میں ڈوبا رہتا ہے ۔
اسی طرح گھریلو صارفین کیلئے گیس کی فراہمی بھی مسلسل تعطل کا شکار رہتی ہے،
سانگھڑ بلدیہ نے اپنی انتہائی خراب کارکردگی کی بنا پر شہر کو کچرے کے ڈھیر میں تبدیل کردیا ہے۔ اس موقع پر ملک میں زرعی اصلاحات، محنت کشوں کی کم از کم اجرت تیس ہزار روپے ماہانہ سمیت مختلف قراردادیں منظور کی گئیں۔
